LiveRC.com is most well known for its large race coverage, but we also offer our full broadcasting service to any R/C car track from around the world! Using LiveRC.com at your track is a fast, simple, and great way to promote your track.
What You Get
When using the LiveRC.com website to broadcast your race, you will greatly increase your track's publicity. People who may have never known you existed will be checking out your races from all around the world. In addition to the publicity, LiveRC.com also gives you the following features:
- Ability to post live practice lap times
- Ability to show live races
- Instant and automatic uploads of the race results within seconds of the end of each race
- Ability to hook up live audio and/or video to show your races online
- A dedicated 468x60 banner slot for you to promote your track/event sponsors while people are viewing your race
Requirements
To use the LiveRC.com services, you will need the following equipment:
- RC Scoring Pro race management software (if you want live scoring/results)
- 56k or faster internet connection to broacast races and practice and/or a low quality audio feed
- 128k DSL or faster internet connection to broadcast audio and/or video
- Macromedia Flash Player 9 or higher browser plugin installed
- 700mhz or faster computer with 128mb or more of ram
- For audio, you will need to split the announcers microphone into the microphone jack on the computer (recommended), or a separate microphone that is plugged into the computer
- For live video, you will need either a webcam (approx. $20) or a digital video camera and tripod with a video capture card (recommended, approx. $300 for complete setup)
Costs
LiveRC.com is excited to announce that for 2009 we are offering our service to all tracks for FREE! If you would like our staff to attend your event and broadcast it, we offer this service for $500 per staff member plus travel expenses (see below for details).
LiveRC.com Staff Attendance: If you would like to have a LiveRC.com representative(s) attend your race to broadcast it, you can hire us to come out and bring all of the needed equipment. We will bring a portable internet connection, cameras, computers, and all other needed equipment for the broadcast. You will be required to have all equipment for scoring, including a valid license of RC Scoring Pro. This fee will include 4 days (Thurs-Sun). If you need us for additional weekdays, the cost is $100 per additional day. Generally a single staff member is able to run the broadcast, however if you would like extended coverage with multiple moving cameras, additional staff members would be required.
